এটাই সন্দেহ। সরকার জনদরদী নয় কোনমতেই, কালোবাজারিও বন্ধ থাকবে বলে মনে হয় না। ফলে একটা উচ্চমধ্যবিত্ত গ্রুপকে হয়ত কিছু সুবিধে দিয়ে ওপরতলার মুখ বন্ধ রাখল। ইন দ্যাট কেস, নিম্মবিত্ত সংকটে পড়বে। (কিছুটা স্পেকুলেট করলাম)

Essential workers like nurses and grocery-store employees would get a $25,000 "pandemic premium pay increase" under a newly proposed plan from Senate Democrats.

The plan calls for the creation of a COVID-19 "Heroes Fund" to "reward, retain, and recruit essential workers," Senate Democrats said in a statement on Tuesday.

The fund would provide a $25,000 "pandemic premium pay increase for essential frontline workers" until the end of 2020. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said doctors, nurses, grocery-store workers, and transit workers are among those who could benefit, though the plan leaves room to include more.

Researchers called off a small Brazilian study on the anti-malaria drug chloroquine’s ability to combat coronavirus after some participants experienced potentially fatal heart complications.

The study, which was funded by the Brazilian state of Amazonas, administered the drug to 81 hospitalized patients in Manaus to determine its effectiveness battling coronavirus.

“Preliminary findings suggest that the higher [chloroquine] dosage (10-day regimen) should not be recommended for COVID-19 treatment because of its potential safety hazards,” researchers wrote. “Such results forced us to prematurely halt patient recruitment to this arm.”

Roughly half of the patients in the study took a 50-milligram dose of chloroquine twice-daily for five days, the report said. The other participants, meanwhile, were given a single, 600-milligram dose daily for 10 days.

But within three days, some of the patients taking the higher doses experienced arrhythmia, or irregular heartbeats, the report said. By the sixth day, 11 patients had died, though it was unclear if that was from coronavirus or complications related to the chloroquine.

গণ ভাবে সেরোলোজি বা র্যাপিড এন্টিজেন টেস্ট হলে বর্তমান পরিস্থিতিতে আমেরিকায় আক্রান্তের সংখ্যা  কোটি ছাড়িয়ে গেছে।

এমতবস্থায়,বাচ্চাদের ঘরে রেখে দিলেও ইনফেশন ছড়ানোর বিরাট পার্থক্য হবে না।

কিন্তু স্কুল তো একদিন খুলতেই হবে।অফিস , কাছারী ও চালু করতে হবে।কারখানা,ব্যাংক,দোকান ,পাট,পাবলিক ট্রান্সপোর্ট, এয়ার লাইন্স খুলতেই হবে।তখন কি হবে?

যদি একবছর পর্ব ছ মাস  দেখা যায় আমেরিকার মোট মৃত্যু হার কমেছে;তখন তো ট্রাম্প বাহবা কুড়োবে।সেটা কেউ অস্বীকার ও করতে পারবে না।উল্টে করোনার নাম করে গরীব লোকদের ক্যাশ বেনিফিট দেওয়া যাবে।কেউ কিছু বলতেও পারবে না। হাতে গরম ইনসেনটিভ ভোট বাক্সে দেখা যাবে।

আমাদের দেশে এ বছর ইলেকশন নেই।
